The BioXp™ machine revolutionizes a researchers’ ability to design and build genes specifically to answer key questions in their role in gene function, control and optimization. You no longer need a template to obtain your gene of interest; the gene is built in silico using DNA sequences with flexibility to design precisely the sequence modifications to address your research.

With a capacity of 32 genes on the BioXp™ machine, DNA fragments are assembled in an overnight reaction, ready for off-line use including sequencing, transformation, transfection, further assembly into larger fragments and cloning into vectors.

BioXp™ clones are produced in an overnight run, ready for transformation and further downstream analysis.

BioXp™ NGS Library Construction provides a low to medium throughput capability to prepare your samples for Next Generation Sequencing.

The BioXp™ instrument reagents are easy to order, increase experimental efficiency and is competitively priced.

How It Works

Building your genes on the BioXp™ machine begins with ordering your custom BioXp™ Reagents. Once you have identified the sequence you wish to build, simply upload a FASTA file containing your sequences to the SGI-DNA secure website, select the product type or application you would like and follow the prompts. The BioXp™ 3200 System reagents are built to your needs.

To begin the BioXp™ run, simply load your custom reagents onto the BioXp™ 3200 deck according to the deck map included with your order. The BioXp™ instrument will connect with the cloud to pull the optimized protocol and will prompt you to begin the application run.

DNA assembly runs generally take 12 – 17 hours depending on your constructs and are ready for downstream processing.

The BioXp™ NGS Library Construction Kit allows you to automate your plasmid or genomic DNA preparation for Next Generation Sequencing. This kit is available in 8 or 16 reaction samples and includes both purification beads and barcodes. Automate your DNA library construction for NGS on your BioXp™ system, your benchtop genomic workstation.

Performance

A capacity of up to 32 genes of 400 bp to 1.8 kb can be assembled on the BioXp™ System. DNA fragments provided in 45 µl of TE and are ready for cloning, off-line sequencing  and further assembly into larger constructs.  Additional genomic applications are in development and will work with the existing hardware on the system.


Consistent Performance

The BioXp™ 3200 System performs consistently across all 32 wells.

A 1476 bp construct with 50% GC was assembled in a single reaction run using the BioXp™ System.

To Place an Order for BioXp Reagents:

  • Log into your SGI-DNA account
  • Connect to the BioXp™ Ordering portal
  • Complete required information
  • Submit fasta file or text file containing your sequences
  • Review the sequences for BioXp™ compatibility
  • Select/Confirm sequences to order
  • Provide payment information
  • Submit order

Orders are shipped to you in approximately 4 – 5 business days. You may load the instrument the same day you receive your order and have BioXp™ Tiles DNA fragments ready the following morning.
