BioXp™ DNA Library Tiles

BioXp™ Library Tiles are a collection of synthetic genes that provide a powerful method to design and build unique DNA libraries quickly and cost-effectively on the BioXp™ instrument in your laboratory.

All BioXp™ degenerate libraries utilize a standard IUPAC Code to specify changes within the submitted gene.

BioXp™ Degenerate Libraries

BioXp™ Degenerate Libraries are a pool of synthetic DNA genes that have a collection of variant DNA fragments that are built with IUPAC codes to call for mixed bases at designated sites.

Degenerate Library Guidelines:

  • 400 bp to 800 bp, sizes outside of the ideal range are allowed
  • Accepts all IUPAC bases
  • Limit strings of degenerate bases to 9 bases in a row
  • Limit degenerate bases no closer than 60 bases from the terminal ends

Ideal library fragment dynamics are recommended for successful assembly and to maintain high fidelity in the conserved regions. Customers are welcome to build libraries outside of these guidelines if desired. Customer service can also provide additional guidance via a deeper sequence analysis of your fragments.

BioXp™ Variant Libraries

BioXp™ Variant Libraries are a large collection of synthetic DNA genes that represent unique variants of a target gene. By design, they contain a high level of similarity to each other. This repetitive sequence allows each gene to be built at an attractive price. They are built without IUPAC codes and follow standard BioXp™ Tile guidelines. BioXp™ Tiles typically range from 400 bp to 1800 bp with low complexity.

Customers are welcome to build libraries outside the ideal complexities.

BioXp™ Scanning Libraries

A BioXp™ Scanning Library is a collection of synthetic DNA genes whose variance is a systematic codon change across the gene of interest. By design, they contain a high level of similarity to each other. This repetitive sequence allows each gene to be built at an attractive price.

Ideal Scanning Library Guidelines:

  • 400 bp to 800 bp, sizes outside of ideal are allowed
  • Accepts all IUPAC bases
  • Limit strings of degenerate bases to 9 bases in a row
  • Limit degenerate bases no closer than 60 bases from the terminal ends
